SCSM 2010 – Force portal language

SCSM Portal UI depends on the client browser encoding setting.  A common request is that customers want English UI even when the client browser have a different encoding setting. In my case NO locale.

Workaround:

  • Go to path: C:\inetpub\wwwroot\System Center Service Manager Portal\EndUser\Bin
  • Rename folder NO to NO_OLD
  • Copy folder EN and name the copy NO (replace the old NO folder)

Now you will have english UI with Norwegian locale
