SCCM 2012 – Application Catalog: Cannot Connect to the application server

If you get this error: Cannot connect to the application server. It may be because you are missing WCF activation.

  • Start Server Manager > Features > Add Features > .NET Framework 3.5.1 Features > WCF Activation > HTTP Activation.

Then:

  • Open Command Prompt (start > run > cmd)
  • CD %windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319
  •  run: aspnet_regiis.exe /iru

  1. Thanks for your help. It’s been a long long process getting SCCM 2012 up and running and it’s posts like this that helped me get there.

  2. The first step cause the second error to be displayed. Running the fix for the second step took me back to the first error. I tried twice and same results so not sure if this actually works or not.
